Watch out for your bank card!
Companies have an eye on getting into your bank account
Some companies have unique ways of getting into your bank account these days. Recently, an individual who purchased a TracFone suddenly found her small monthly bank account in Alabama invaded by various named companies which apparently are all the same: called, variously “ID Lock On” and “Member Legal Net LLC.“ It appears that, having provided her bank debit card number to TracFone via her Internet server, these two entities were suddenly extracting payments this individual had no idea she had contracted for via TracFone. Her monthly $800 Social Security check was thoroughly invaded to the tune of $100 within a single month!
Not only this, but each time a debit card holder utilizes his/her bank card for a gasoline purchase at any of today’s oil company gas stations, each debit can far exceed the amount of the actual purchase! For a $10 purchase in gas at a local Madison County, Alabama, Gulf Oil Station, one Tennessee Valley man discovered a total withdrawal by Gulf for that purchase to amount to $75.00!
It appears there’s quite a bit of thievery now tied to debit card uses that result in outrageous thefts which invade your bank account by growing numbers of innovative thieves.
It’s really hard to police the Internet.
